The world lost a talented actress and devoted advocate for the animals when Betty White passed away on December 31, 2021. Betty White graced TV and movie screens alike in dozens of roles, including Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Rose Nylund on the Golden Girls, and a lovable, quirky grandmother in The Proposal. Betty White’s acting delighted millions, but perhaps her biggest role of all was as an animal advocate. Betty’s 100th birthday party had been set for January 17th, 2022. Betty’s death initially brought a halt to the celebration, but then something unexpected happened: the Betty White Challenge was born, and Betty’s legacy of love and animal advocacy lived on along with the Betty White Foundation.

January 17 is now a day to honor Betty’s life and her love of animals. The #BettyWhiteChallenge encourages animal lovers worldwide to donate $5 or more to an animal organization. Animal Hospice Group would be honored if you chose to donate to us in memory of Betty White.

You can make your #BettyWhiteChallenge donation to Animal Hospice Group by simply filling out the mini form on this page and make your contribution with a credit card, PayPal, or Venmo.

Thank you so much for your support – and here’s to honoring Betty White’s legacy for loving and caring for animals.

Thank you also to Cheshire Partners for matching Animal Hospice Group’s Betty White Challenge donations up to $1,000 on Monday, January 17, 2023.
